Please arrive early on or consider carpooling or using a ride share service. Shuttle service to the museum will be available on Saturday, May fourteen from 11 a.m.–iii p.k. Please meet at Frederick Douglass School (2627 Park Ave) in Walnut Hills. First come, showtime served.
Accessible parking is available. Wheelchair and stroller entry is bachelor via our Front and DeWitt entrances.

Blooming Art, an Ikebana Interpretation (Art in Bloom sneak peek)

Beth Bowers-Klaine, a second Caste Master in the Ohara Schoolhouse of Ikebana will demonstrate a range of ikebana designs from simple to more than complex. She will show how the introduction of Western floral materials and changes in lifestyle have influenced the traditional Japanese art of ikebana. See in the Castellini Room (ground level). Capacity is limited.
A Conversation with Doan Ly

Doan Ly, a floral designer and lensman based in New York City, volition discuss her creative procedure in floral design and storytelling, and finding the theatricality of the moment. Recognized past her dreamy palettes and compositions, her work often revolves around the colors and flowers that pass through her studio, as well as the guests who visit, the administration who work for her, and occasionally, effect the lunch delivery person. Together they form an ensemble of performers, models, and subjects for Ly's collaborative experiments.

Join guest speaker, Mary Lou Smith, to learn the artistic component for successful creative expression through the beauty of flowers. Mrs. Smith is the Past President of the Garden Society of Ohio, and Accredited Master Gauge Level 4, a member of the National Garden Society, and a member of the Judges Written report Class in Cincinnati.
Breakfast will be served in the Mary R. Schiff Library followed by a presentation in the Fauth Auditorium (ground level).
ArtWorks Studio Tour

Hop on the shuttle between 11 a.m. – iii p.thousand. to visit ArtWorks!
Radha Lakshmi and Artworks' youth apprentices will demonstrate how to print on paper using eco-friendly methods in the V2 Gallery. Lakshmi, a Visual and Community Artist, is also a trained printmaker. Lakshmi was born and raised in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India, at present a long-time Cincinnati resident. Her art-making has moved from printmaking to ritual threshold ephemeral art, emphasizing eco-friendly materials. With the guidance of the atomic number 82 teacher, Radha Lakshmi, the Youth Artists will demonstrate a printing process of layering flowers and leaves resulting in a stunning visual limerick using Storytelling.
Conversation with the Bees

Did you know that the Cincinnati Art Museum is a dwelling for more than fine art? Learn more than near the beehives with our partners, Queen City Pollinators. An observation hive will be available and professional person beekeepers will exist on paw to facilitate learning. Bee certain to finish by!
Health Garden Chat
